Rix Air & Gas have designed and developed a complete range of dispensers for the CNG industry. All are automatic-sequencing, electronic-metered and feature high-flow valves and regulators. Metering is by mass flow. This type of meter is accepted by the Standards and Weights and Measure Department of all countries in which Rix equipment is installed. The electronic display is of PEC manufacture. Again, this equipment is internationally recognised and certified measurement of CNG. Dispensers may be calibrated to measure gas by mass (kilograms), volume or by litres equivalent of gasoline. Legislation in some countries dictate the " kilogram " measure, but it is Rix experience that " Litres equivalent " is much more easily understood by the general public and expedites the acceptance of CNG. Dispensers are calibrated in the currency of the user country and record total sales (by mass volume and value) as well as individual sales. One, two and three line fast filling options are available: · Single line electronic dispenser This is the simplest and most economical option. Gas is dispensed from a single storage bank so therefore all storage is maintained at one pressure. The system is most suitable where vehicle filling is no subject to periods of high demand. The system utilises up to 25% of available storage. · Two line electronic dispenser This system offers the simplicity of single line system coupled with the advantage of multi line filling. Gas is sequentially unloaded from the storage in two stages giving greater storage utilisation and vastly improved recovery times. This system is most suited to high volume retail outlets with moderate peaks and adequately sized gas compressors. Storage utilisation is up to 40% of available storage. · Three line electronic dispenser This system allows for maximum storage utilisation to cope with the heaviest peaks by giving full fills and rapid recovery. By unloading the storage in three stages, up to 60% of available storage can be used. · Ultra fast fill dispenser Recently designed for ultra fast Bus refilling where fills often exceed 100m3. The special feature of this dispenser is that flows of up to 50 m3 per minute can be obtained. · Fast fill manual dispenser Designed for fast filling of CNG vehicles where electronic metering is not required, i.e., In-house or Private CNG refuelling installations. · Trickle fill point This is a single-line slow fill system for overnight filling of fleet vehicles. This dispenser option is unmetered and very cost efficient for large in-house fleets, such as bus stations Manual refueling panels Rix can purpose build low cost manual refilling panels to suit all CNG requirements. These panels are used generally for in - house stations where they are designed for a specific requirement and tailored to individual needs. GAS CONTROL SYSTEMS Sequential fill systems are designed for the particular application using spring loaded regulators or deference pressure cylinders and domeloaders. GAS TRANSPORT SYSTEMS Rix will undertake the design and construction of gas transport trailers, including filling and discharge systems, safety devices, and structural framework in compliance with the regulation for the carriage of Dangerous Goods by road. Trailers may be single or multi- axle and carry gas in either automotive type of cascade type cylinders. PACKED CNG STATION Where portability and speed of installation is critical, Rix can supply packed CNG stations - electric's, compressor, sequential systems and storage mounted on a standard 20 - foot ISO container base. Connections are restricted to gas in / gas out and power in. GAS ENGINE Rix can offer a full range of industrial and heavy automotive gas engines. These engines are from a variety of manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Ford, Cummins, Hino, Isuzu, Caterpillar, Mercedes and Renault. CNG engines may be used to drive compressors, for heavy transport applications or for industrial use where economics favour CNG as a fuel.
