General Scope of Supply |
|
The Rix Air & Gas range of natural gas compressors is extensive. Capacity ranges from 40 cubic metres per hour, with inlet pressures from 3psi to 500 psi. The low capacity compressors are designed for home refueling or small commercial fleets. They are becoming increasingly popular for demonstration purposes where initial assessment is being carried out on the viability of natural gas for automotive refueling. The medium and high capacity range is used for public refueling stations and for large fleets, such as bus or trucking operations. Today Rix is well known for its expertise in engineering and manufacturing high pressure, continuous duty, air and gas compressor systems. Both non-lubricated (oil-free) and oil-lubricated units are manufactured, in single through five stage designs. Rix compressors range in size from 3 to 500 horsepower at discharge pressures of up to 10,000 psi. Water cooled designs predominate, although some air cooled models are available. In addition to standard units, Rix often supplies compressors that are custom built to meet the buyers performance and equipment needs. A wide selection of time - proven crankcases and compressor cylinders allows the manufacture of units for nearly any application without compromising quality, performance or size. Compressors in both basic and fully packaged configurations are available. CURRENT MODELS H.R.A: Oil driven diaphragm type. Air cooled 2 m3/hr. application for home refueling. COMGAS: 3 stage. Wobble plate air cooled 17 m3/hr. Up to 10 Hp. Application small commercial fleet. 3W Series: 3 - 4 Stages. W configuration. Air cooled 50 -125 m3/hr. Up to 40Hp. 3KMX Series: 3 Stage. Vertical cylinders Water cooled. 100 - 250 m3/hr. Up to 75 Hp. 2JJS Series: 1 - 4 Stages. Vertical cylinders Water cooled. 150 - 700 m3/hr. Up to 250 Hp. ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURES Acoustic enclosures can be fitted to the complete range of Rix Services compressors. The enclosures can be medium or high performance specification. High performance gives a sound level of 60 dBA at one metre from the enclosure, while medium performance enclosures reduce the sound level to around 65 to 70 dBA. Thus the installations can generally be operated on a 24 hour basis in compliance with the most rigid local authority requirements for acoustic performance. The enclosures are fabricated of heavy section structural steel, and are structurally designed and certified to support the racks of storage cylinders mounted on top of the enclosures. Paneling is 1.6mm zinc coated with fiberglass acoustic insulation. GAS STORAGE SYSTEMS Storage cascades are assembled by Rix in various configurations to suit the required storage / compressor size ratio. Cascades are generally of 20, 40, or 60 cylinders, and may be horizontally or vertically mounted.
